The TENNESSEE RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL is located just east of the town of Triune, some thirty miles south of Nashville, less than 20 miles west of Murphreesboro. Chicagoland does not get to host the 2012 Olympics, but it IS fortunate to be the home of BRISTOL RENAISSANCE FAIRE, where Craig of Farrington has been "The Minstrel" every season since it opened in 1988. The Year 2010 will be its 23rd season. ["Come on out an play with us!"]

The Minstrel Lutenist has returned to Deerfield Beach and THE FLORIDA RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL once again in 2007. You will find him, as always, in the lanes, playing his lute ('T'salute!) and offering his Songs of Love . . . well, for part of the day anyway. Read on!

Craig of Farrington performed at the HOGGETOWNE MEDIEVAL FAIRE in 2007 as part of THE MINSTRELS OF MAYHEM. It was Craig's first appearance at Hoggetowne, and reuniting with his old friends MELODIO and POMPADOUR to make music those two weekends was great fun indeed!

They toured together from 1997 through 2000 (from Coast to Coast to Coast) - Long-time M.o.M fans will welcome the tight THREE-PART HARMONIES for which that TRIO has been reknowned. Make plans NOW to see their reunion at Gainseville, Florida - the last weekend of January and the first weekend in February.

If your late autumn travel plans include visit the Sportsman's Paradise in December, why not take in the LOUISIANA RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL? Our SEVENTH (7th) season was a blast! As usual, CRAIG OF FARRINGTON and his lute were usually found near the front gate for most of the morning and during the late afternoon.

In addition, he presented THE BAWDY BEAUTIFUL PUB SHOW ("It's bawdy; it's beautiful.") at THE PAINTED BADGER PUB at 12:30 each of the final three weekends. We'll be back for 2007.

"Then I pack up my bags, go up to Tennessee..." CRAIG OF FARRINGTON strolled the wooded pathways of the TENNESSEE RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL in 2006, for a third consecutive year. Two shows were scheduled for THE MINSTREL LUTENIST - one at 11:30; one at 3:00.

AND, of course, (where else would he be?) CRAIG could be found strolling the hilly lanes all through the day. Those seeking romance, and those who love to laugh, looked for his bright costume and seasoned lute in seeking to satisfy their respective desires.

"Like Ponce de Leon, I found Florida's shore." The FLORIDA RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL expanded its season by one week in 2006, making it a six weekend show. THE MINSTREL LUTENIST returned for a tenth anniversary with FlaRF. It is always a personal treat, for many of the finest musical groups in the Renfaire industry join him there, including CANTIGA, BEDLAM, FEATHERSTONE, WYLDEFYRE, and THE MINSTRELS OF MAYHEM. Craig of Farrington could be found strolling the shadier parts of the site, in search of and delighting loving couples, as is his mission. He also performed REQUEST SHOWS twice a day at THE HARMONY GLEN STAGE.

2006 was CRAIG OF FARRINGTON's first appearance at the show so many of us have come to refer to simply as "Fort Myers." (It's moved to Lehigh Acres; we need to fix that.) This two-weekend show, in the southern part of western Florida, is the season opener for many Renfaire acts we seldom get to perform with, including Michael "KING OLIVER" Marzella, EMRYS FLEET (the Ratcatcher), EMPTY HATS, THREE-QUARTER ALE, THREE PINTS GONE, WYLDEFYRE and many others.

"Those cajuns 'round Hammond say crawfish, not cray." 2005 was our sixth straight season at LARF, and CRAIG OF FARRINGTON ('Tsalute!) is looking forward to being back again in 2006.

At LaRF, THE MINSTREL LUTENIST is an active presence near the front gate, where he can be found for most of each morning. CRAIG'S NICE REQUEST SHOW is scheduled at the PUPPET STAGE near the front gate, each day, at 1:00 p.m., and he presents "THE BAWDY BEAUTIFUL" (his NAUGHTY show) late in the afternoon in the PAINTED BADGER PUB. Craig also joins the rest of the village musicians for a RENAISSANCE JAM near the front gate at 4:30.

"Home to the girl I adore," CRAIG OF FARRINGTON returned to Southern Ohio in the fall of 2005 for a fifth straight year at THE OHIO RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL. Arriving, as is his tradition, on Weekend #3, THE MINSTREL LUTENIST was on hand for the final seven of this nine-weekend show. Countless patrons enjoyed his music and wit on the street, and at two staged shows: 12:30 in the JOUSTER's PUB GARDEN and 1:30 at the ALEING KNIGHT PUB. 'Twas another glorious weather season, the cold of October came in only for the final weekend. Craig and Darling will both be back in 2006.

"Back home to Bristol in the summertime!" In 2005, THE MINSTREL LUTENIST returned to BRISTOL RENAISSANCE FAIRE for an EIGHTEENTH (18th) consecutive season. CRAIG OF FARRINGTON, a familiar character on the Bristol streets since opening day in 1988, was infinitely pleased so see his protege, friend, and fellow lutenist, DANIEL DOWLAND following in his mentor's footsteps and being presented with the coveted QUEEN's CHAMPION AWARD. Blessed with another beautiful summer weatherwise, CRAIG's NOON REQUEST SHOW at the FOUNTAINSIDE STAGE was regularly filled with costumed patrons. (Thanks, friends!) He'll be back in 2006.

That redheaded queen! She "is oh! . . . Oh, so hot!" Craig of Farrington was back at TN-Ren in 2005 for a second season. The weather could not have been better. What a run of nice days! Two appearances were scheduled daily : THE BAWDY BEAUTIFUL SING-A-LONG PUB SHOW at 1 p.m. at THE RED HOOK PUB; and CRAIG's REQUEST SHOW at 3 p.m. at THE CROSSWINDS STAGE. Look for him again in 2006!

For 2005 (his ninth consecutive season with "FlaRF") Craig moved his strolling activities from his traditional haunts along the lakeside path to the shaded, much quieter, and more intimate area near the food court. Many a loving couple was inspired by one of his serenades. The Minstrel Lutenist was also featured twice each day (at 1:00 and 3:00) at the nearby "Music Tent" - The Harmony Glen Stage - where he shared a stage with "CANTIGA" and "BEDLAM." We look forward to 2006.

The LOUISIANA RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL had a fine fifth season. Craig of Farrington (a regular since opening season in 2000) was, for a third time, presented with the FAVORITE STREET ENTERTAINMENT AWARD. Besides his usual lane work, The Minstrel Lutenist performed his BAWDY BEAUTIFUL PUB SHOW at 3:30 in the PAINTED BADGER PUB and (FOR THE FIRST TIME AT LRF) he offered a "Nice/Request Show" at THE PUPPET STAGE each day at 1 pm.

Craig of Farrington returned to the TENNESSEE RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL in 2004, after a three-year absence. Scheduled shows included a 1 p.m. "not-so-secret" (NICE) REQUEST SHOW, a 5 p.m. NAUGHTY pub show (THE BAWDY BEAUTIFUL) and a daily appearance at the PUB SING, where (often accompanied by musician friends from The Minstrels of Mayhem) he led the audience chorus through his most popular sing-alongs: "Mary Mac," "Wish They'd Do It Now," and "No Snow Never."

The 2003 season was a truly great one! The Louisiana weather was fabulous! For the first time at LRF, Craig of Farrington presented THE BAWDY BEAUTIFUL PUB SHOW at 3 p.m. daily at KING's HEAD TAVERN, and the 4:30 End-of-the-day Music Jam (which he organized) was awarded BEST STREET ENTERTAINMENT for 2003.

Craig performed for three seasons (2001-2003) at "GARF", where he strolled through the lanes, serenading couples with his lute ('Tsalute!) singing his "Songs of Love, Faith, and Mirth ... Songs of Heaven and of Earth" for most of each day. He met faithful Georgia friends and fans for an unscheduled "Meeting" at the DRAGON'S BREATH CAFE at 1 p.m. everyday, and his popular pub show, THE BAWDY BEAUTIFUL was featured at the BREWER's PUB each afternoon at 4 p.m.

THE GEORGIA RENAISSANCE FESTIVAL is located near Fairburn, Georgia, just southwest of Atlanta, and runs eight (8) weekends from mid April into early June, including MEMORIAL DAY.
